
Cook named Horizon League Athlete of the Week

INDIANAPOLIS/DAYTON — Wright State track and field freshman Thomas Cook has been named the Horizon League Athlete of the Week, the League announced on Tuesday.
Cook won the Men's High Jump at the PNC Bank Bellarmine Classic in a school record clearance of 2.11 meters, a mark that also set a new meet record. The mark currently sits Cook at the top of the Horizon League and is tied for 41st on the NCAA Qualifying List.
This is Cook's second weekly Horizon League recognition.
Wright State is back in action on Saturday as a complete squad at the Steemer Showcase in Springfield. Saturday action will start at 11 a.m. with running events to follow beginning at 11:30 a.m. and going throughout the afternoon.
