Bowlers roll three Saturday wins

BUFFALO, NY – The Wright State bowling team opened play at the NU Brunswick Spring Classic on Saturday, going 3-1 in the first day of action to sit in fourth in the 11-team field. Alli Shattuck is third individually after averaging a 213.60 game.

Sunday's action begins at 8:55 a.m. and will feature four Baker matches ahead of bracket matches contested in a best-of-seven Baker format to decide the champion.

The Raiders went 3-1 in Saturday's traditional matches, grabbing wins over Mercyhurst (938-895), Penn State-Behrend (859-767) and Roberts Weslyan (894-889) before ending the afternoon with a narrow 1,019-968 defeat to tournament host Niagara.

Wright State finished with a pinfall of 4,617 with a 184.7 average game score. Behind Shattuck, the Raiders saw Rylie Jeanneret have a 195.0 average (ninth) while Jasmine Schulze was also inside the Top 20 with a 183.8 average in 18th.
