Biography

Jherica Williams was on the Wright State coaching staff as a volunteer assistant during the 2010 season.

2008: Selected First Team All-Great Lakes Region and as the Horizon League Player of the Year...led Division I in runs batted in per game at 1.24 and was second in slugging percentage, third in batting average, fifth in on-base percentage at .566, 12th in runs per game at 0.98, 16th in home runs, 18th in home runs per game at 0.29, 31st in triples per game at 0.08, 35th in triples, 68th in doubles per game at 0.27, 74th in walks per game at 0.58 and 88th in sacrifice flies with three...set or tied single-season school records in runs scored, hits, batting average, home runs, total bases, slugging percentage, RBI and walks...paced the Horizon League in batting average, slugging percentage, on-base percentage, runs scored, hits, RBI, doubles, triples, home runs, total bases and sacrifice flies and was second in walks and hit by pitch...went two-for-two with a run scored at Mississippi State...had two doubles and two runs scored in second meeting with Fordham...two hits and two runs scored against Wisconsin...went four-for-five with a home run and triple along with five RBI versus Buffalo...scored three times against Marshall...selected as the Horizon League Athlete of the Week on March 12 as she hit .714 over four games at the New Mexico Tournament with three home runs, nine runs batted in and a slugging percentage of 1.571...doubled and homered in driving in three runs and scoring three times versus Detroit...five hits, including two triples and a homer, with seven RBI and four runs scored in Rio Grande twinbill...five hits, including a home run, with four RBI and three runs scored in Cleveland State series...named the League's Athlete of the Week on March 31 for her efforts against Rio Grande, Ohio and Cleveland State...smacked a three-run homer with three RBI in the opener with Ball State and had a two-run homer and three more RBI in the nightcap...five hits in Green Bay series with four RBI and five runs scored...four hits, including two doubles and a home run, with five RBI in twinbill at Toledo...seven hits with two home runs, 10 RBI and seven runs scored in series at Youngstown State...saw 26-game hitting streak end with the second game at Miami...smacked two-run homer in opener at Butler and added four runs scored in the doubleheader with the Bulldogs...hit a three-run homer in opener at IPFW...connected on a home run in all three games at UIC...received the Batting Award at the Horizon League Tournament as she posted five hits in four games, including three in the winner's bracket final with Cleveland State.

2007: Selected First Team All-Horizon League and as the League's Newcomer of the Year...collected first two hits as a Raider against Oregon State...two doubles and a triple versus Centenary...four hits, including two home runs and a double, in two games against Oakland with four runs scored...two hits, three runs scored and two steals in second meeting with Morehead State...three hits, two runs scored and three stolen bases at Mercer...two runs scored and two stolen bases in first game with Harvard...two hits and three runs scored in second game versus Winthrop...doubled and scored twice in each of final two games of Butler series...two hits, including a double, with three runs scored and two stolen bases against IUPUI...two steals in Loyola nightcap...collected five hits in two games with Cleveland State...moved to catcher starting with the Green Bay series after being in right field...five hits in Green Bay series, including a double, two triples and a homer, along with four RBI, three coming in the second game...three hits in nightcap at Detroit...doubled in two runs in UIC opener and had five hits overall in the series...collected three hits with two RBI and three runs scored during the Horizon League Tournament.

Chipola Junior College: Played there for two seasons...hit .582 with seven home runs and 41 stolen bases in 2006...selected as a Louisville Slugger All-American as well as Second Team All-State...twice chosen as a First Team All-Panhandle Conference.

High School: Lettered three years in softball for the Indians...named the Greater Western Ohio Conference Player of the Year as a senior as she hit .464 with two home runs and 20 stolen bases...All-GWOC as a junior...also lettered twice in basketball.

Personal: Born Jherica Whitney Williams on April 22, 1986...daughter of Jerry and Lisa Williams.
