Intro to College Athletics - Freshman Life Skills

In alignment with our PSA Mission Statement and the NCAA Holistic Model for Student Athletes, Wright State Athletics offers a course designed to guide and assist freshmen student-athletes in their transition to collegiate athletics. This seminar aims to instill and develop essential life skills in first-year student-athletes, covering topics such as financial literacy, mental and physical health, prioritizing academics, and other skills necessary for life during and after college athletics. Course Objectives: 1. To welcome new student-athletes to the university and prepare them for life as a student-athlete.
2. To provide students with tools to be successful as people, students and athletes. 3. To introduce student-athletes to the resources available to them on campus and through the athletics department. Freshman Life Skills Schedule |
