Jeff Fleck was named the first women's bowling head coach in Wright State University program history in April 2022.
No stranger to Wright State, Fleck previously served as the head coach of the Wright State club bowling teams since being one of the co-founders of the club in 2005.
Fleck built the Wright State club bowling program from the ground up, carving the club into a national powerhouse as the women's club team advanced to the 16-team United States Bowling Congress national tournament seven times from 2009-2017, finishing a program-best third place in the 2013 tournament. The women's club team also won the National Collegiate Club Championship in both 2015 and 2019 with runners-up finishes in 2014 and 2016.
A six-time recipient of the Club Team Bowling Coaches Association Larry Wilson Women's Club Coach of the Year award, Fleck was also named the National Collegiate Bowling Coaches Association 2015-16 Kerm Helmer Women's Coach of the Year, which recognizes the best coach nationally across the NCAA, NJCAA, NAIA and collegiate club levels. Fleck also was honored with the NCBCA 2019-20 Gordon Teigen Meritorious Service Award for his contributions to collegiate bowling and was named Wright State's 2020 Advisor of the Year, presented to a student organization advisor who has gone above and beyond in their role.
Elected to the Greater Dayton USBC Hall of Fame in 2009, Fleck was inducted into the Ohio State United States Bowling Congress Hall of Fame as a Friend of Ohio Bowling in May 2022.
