Brad Chandler

Brad Chandler was named the fifth Director of Athletics at Wright State on June 25, 2026, following the university’s first-ever national search for a Division I athletics director.

Chandler brings more than 17 years of experience in NCAA Division I athletics administration to Wright State. Before joining the Raiders, he served as Deputy Athletics Director at Bradley University, where he was the department's chief revenue, financial, and compliance officer and lead fundraiser. During his tenure, he helped drive significant growth in athletics revenue and fundraising, supported the development of Bradley's NIL program, and led the relaunch of the Bradley Script brand.

Chandler brings a strong legal and compliance background to his executive role. Prior to his time at Bradley, Chandler held leadership positions at Arizona State, Ohio State, and Rutgers, building extensive experience across multiple areas of collegiate athletics administration. His career in intercollegiate athletics began at the University of Toledo Athletics, where he served in the compliance office as both an intern and a graduate assistant.

A graduate of Michigan State University with a degree in finance, Chandler earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Toledo College of Law. Chandler is an active member of the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA). He has served as a guest lecturer at multiple institutions, including Arizona State University Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law, the University of Baltimore School of Law, and Madonna University. He has further contributed to academia as an adjunct instructor in business school, teaching law courses.
Chandler and his Wife, Kara, reside in Bellbrook with their daughter, Waverly.
