When Bob Grant went out to look for someone to oversee the athletic facilities, he didn’t have to look far as Chris Bethel has been part of the Raider family for years in his position as patron services manager of the WSU Nutter Center for the last 15 years.
Bethel served with the WSU Nutter Center since 2000 as patron services manager and oversaw various areas, including facility scheduling for the Nutter Center, all athletic fields and McLin Gym as well as parking, ushers and guest services. He acted as the main contact for many events which included preparing contractual agreements, planning as well as coordination of event set up and tear down.
“Our department has had the pleasure of working with Chris for the years and he has impressed us with his professionalism, helpfulness, organization and character” WSU director of athletics Bob Grant said. “He has become a very valuable addition to our team.”
With the athletic department, Bethel oversees the day-to-day activities, scheduling and rental of the facilities as well as the upkeep and maintenance. He graduated from Wright State in 1999 with a degree in business management. He and his wife Kelly reside in Bellbrook with their three children, Addison, Ellery and Bryce.
