The Wright State men's soccer team scored three unanswered goals in the second half Sunday afternoon to upend league foe Detroit 4-2 at Alumni Field to close out play on Homecoming Weekend. Freshmen forwards Braden Fleak and Adam Harp notched two tallies a piece, with Fleak also grabbing an assist, in the Raiders' first victory since September 19.

After a scoreless first half, the offensive play for both squads erupted in the second half, when Detroit's Robert Merritt found the back of the net to give the Titans their first lead of the game in the 47th minute. Fleak would respond with a goal at the 50:39 mark on a rebound off Titans keeper Sasha Boskovic, his 11th of the season to tie the game.

The Titans would strike pay-dirt once more in the 72nd minute when Brandon Powell connected on a Jason Massoglia through pass to give Detroit their second lead of the day. That lead would only remain for seven minutes, as Harp scored his fifth mark of the season in the 79th minute to tie the game once more. Kwaku Gyimah and Kyle Bryan each assisted on the goal.

Luck would be on the Raiders' side in the 86th minute when a Roger Downing chip shot escaped the arms of Boskovic and was tapped in by Fleak for the eventual game-winner. The goal marked the third mutli-goal game of 2006 for Fleak. A minute later, Harp would add his second tally of the game after a Fleak one touch pass found is foot and eventually the back of the net for the final WSU goal.

Tebias Mason faced 12 shots and made three saves on the day. Mason currently sits four saves away from breaking into the single-season top 10 in saves with 83 on the year.

The Raiders improve to 7-8 overall and 1-5 in the Horizon League and look to pickup their second straight Horizon League victory against Cleveland State. The Green and Gold will take to the pitch at Alumni Field on Friday, October 20, at 5:00. The match is part of a doubleheader with the women's soccer team who will play IPFW at 7:00.
