Men's Tennis Defeats Wittenberg 4-3

The Wright State men's tennis team defeated Wittenberg, 4-3, on Thursday at the WSU Tennis Courts.
The revamped Raider lineup split the singles matches after winning the doubles point. Nick Camilleri, a freshman from Melbourne, Australia, played in the top singles spot and defeated Shane Hutton, 6-2, 6-2. Lance Koetter, a sophomore from Cincinnati, Ohio, moved to number two and swept Steve Wilson, 6-0, 6-0. Tim Hershner, a freshman from Cincinnati, won the number three slot over Nick McLean 6-3, 0-6, 6-3 with Craig Smith and Brian Butt not playing singles this day.
Camilleri and Koetter won their 17th doubles match of the season over Hutton and McLean, 8-2. Smith and Butt defeated John Shields and Ryan Snyder in the second doubles match, 8-1, for the doubles point.
The Raiders play Cleveland State on Saturday morning at 11 a.m. at North Central High School in Indianapolis, Ind. as part of the 2006 Horizon League Tennis Championships.
