
Men's Soccer Tops Central Florida 3-2

The Wright State men's soccer team finished the road trip to Florida on a high note as they defeated the Golden Knights of Central Florida 3-2 on Sunday. Braden Fleak scored the game winner as Jonah Baskin and Josh Grossman added a goal each in the win.
The Raiders got on the board first as a Michael Conley crossing pass found Baskin who blasted the shot into the top of the net at the 20:33 mark in the first half. The goal was Baskin's second of the season while Conley notched his first assist of 2006.
The Golden Knights would strike in the second half as Zak Boggs was able to score at 53:45, being assisted by Ryan Roushandel and Cam Jordan to tie the game at 1-1. The Green and Gold would respond with a goal at the 65:18 mark as Josh Grossman's free kick found the back of the net to give the Raiders their second lead of the day at 2-1.
Four minutes later, Roushandel found the back of the net, scoring on a pass from Andy Masteller. The score remained at 2-2 until the 84th minute when Fleak scored his team-leading sixth goal of the season on a shot from the top right of the goal box to give the Raiders the victory. Grossman added an assist on the play, his second of the season.
Goalkeeper Tebias Mason earned the win in goal for the Raiders as he faced 11 shots with seven saves on the day.
WSU improves to 4-2 on the season, earning their first win streak of the season going 2-0 this weekend. The Green and Gold will return to Ohio and travel to Bowling Green for a 2:00 matchup on Sunday, September 17.
