The Wright State men's soccer team dropped their ninth straight match on Friday evening at Loyola. The Raiders surrendered three second half goals to the Ramblers and were outshot 10-5 in the match.
The two teams played the first 45 minutes scoreless and Loyola held a slight 3-2 edge in shots. Freshman keeper Matt Koewler posted one save in the first half and LU took three corner kicks to WSU's one.
In the second half, Loyola's Michael Ferguson cracked the scoring column with an assist from Markian Zyga in the 50th minute.
With LU leading 1-0, Ferguson would add two more goals for the hat trick. Ferguson struck in the 65th and 68th minutes to account for the final margin.
The Raiders took five shots, two of those on-goal, and took one corner kick in each half. Tony Labudovski and Josh Grossman each launched a pair of shots in the match and Braden Fleak took the other WSU shot.
The Green and Gold will continue their trip through the windy city with a match against UIC on Sunday, October 14. The Raiders and Flames will square off at 5:00 Dayton time on the campus of UIC.
