Down 2-0 after an inning, the Wright State softball team would rally from there as the Raiders used two home runs and a Kristen Bradshaw RBI double to pull out a 3-2 Horizon League decision over Green Bay Sunday afternoon at Phoenix Field.

The Phoenix took advantage of a WSU error to tally a pair of runs in the first, but Wright State began its comeback in the second as Jacqueline Macy led off with her second home run of the season to center field.

An inning later, the Raiders tied the game, again with the long ball, as Jherica Williams homered to center, her third of the year.

It stayed that way until the fifth when Wright State took the lead for good. Briauna Birl started the frame with a walk and after an Erica Schroeder bunt advanced her to second, Birl scored on Bradshaw's double to center.

Green Bay (12-16, 4-6 Horizon) had a golden opportunity to tie the game in its half of the fifth as Jenny Rehfeldt led off with a triple to right, but was stranded there as the duo of Allison Cox and Jamie Perkins, despite a later error, pitched out of the jam with a strikeout, a caught stealing and a ground out.

Cox (10-11) picked up the win as she pitched into the fifth, allowing just five hits, no earned runs and no walks with a strikeout. Perkins earned her first career save as she went the final three innings, giving up no runs and no walks with one hits while striking out four.

Along with her tying home run, Williams also had a triple to pace the Raider offense while Andrea Kurzynske had two hits for the Phoenix.

Wright State, now 17-25 overall and 4-6 in the Horizon League, faces its third Mid-American Conference opponent in nine days Wednesday as the Raiders visit Ohio for a 2:00 doubleheader.
