The Wright State men's soccer team dropped their second straight match on Sunday afternoon, falling 2-1 at Saint Mary's. The Raiders allowed an early goal in the match to the Gaels, but evened the score in the second half before SMC could notch the deciding tally.
The Gaels got things started in the 11th minute when Justin Kim's pass found the foot of Brian Siu for the first tally of the match. Siu slipped past the WSU defense and sent the shot far post from ten yards out to push SMC out to an early 1-0 lead.
The Raiders would head into halftime down 1-0, after SMC outshot the Green and Gold 10-5 in the first half and took four corner kicks to WSU's one. Senior goalkeeper Tebias Mason made three saves in the first half for the Raiders.
In the second half, the WSU offense found the back of the net via an Adam Harp marker at the 58:24 mark. The sophomore took a pair of passes from teammates Braden Fleak and Milovan Milosevic and sent a shot to the far post, evening the score at 1-1.
The Gaels would score the eventual game winner in the 64th minute when Erik Rivas sent a one-touch pass to Erik Robert who's shot from 18 yards out found net. SMC took 13 shots in the second stanza and forced Mason to make six saves.
