Teufel Garners Player of the Week Honors

INDIANAPOLIS, IN - The Wright State men's tennis program picked up their first in-season honor on Wednesday afternoon. Senior Tony Teufel garnered the Horizon League Men's Tennis Player of the Week award after posting a solid outing against Toledo.
Teufel, who was named Second Team All-Horizon League last season, chipped in a solid performance in the Raiders first home dual of the season against Toledo. The Cincinnati native teamed up with teammate Jan Alafriz to secure the doubles points and win the No. 2 doubles match against the Rockets.
Then at the No. 1 singles position, the senior posted his first dual victory of the season and improved his overall record to 4-3 this season. Teufel won over the Rockets No. 1 singles player, Chris Clark, by scores of 6-3, 6-2.
