Jherica Williams hit two home runs and drove in 10 on the day and Raider pitching allowed just one run as the Wright State softball team swept a Horizon League doubleheader at Youngstown State Saturday, winning the first game 10-1 in six innings and the second game 8-0 in five innings.

WSU scored an unearned run in the first inning of the opener and it stayed that way until the Raiders added two runs in the fourth as Williams walked and Kristen Bradshaw hit her seventh home run of the season to center.

Wright State added four more in the fifth as Williams hit a two-run double to right center and Bradshaw and Justin Shilt each knocked in a run with a single and double, respectively. The Raiders tacked on three in the sixth on Williams' 11th home run of the year to left.

Sharon Palma (9-6) picked up the win, scattering six hits in the complete-game effort while striking out three and walking none. Offensively, Jamie Perkins added two hits and scored twice while Louie Haney also scored twice.

The Raiders broke game two open early as after Williams singled in a run in the first, WSU tallied six runs in the second, scoring the first two on a Heather Bauer RBI single and a Perkins fielder's choice before Williams cleared the bases with a grand slam to center.

On the day, Williams was a perfect five-for-five with two doubles, two home runs, 10 RBI and five runs scored.

Ashleigh Jackson (7-5) drove in the final run with a hit in the third and picked up the win in the circle, facing just four hitters over the minimum as she gave up just one hit while walking two and striking out two.

Haney, Williams, Cox, Shilt and Jackson each had two hits in the nightcap, with Perkins and Cox scoring twice.

Wright State, which climbs above the .500 mark for the first time this season at 19-17 overall and 7-2 in the Horizon League, wraps up the series with the Penguins Sunday with a single game starting at noon.
