Wright State held the lead twice, only to see Loyola rally for single runs in the sixth and seventh to pull out a 3-2 win and complete the series sweep in Horizon League action Sunday afternoon at the WSU Softball Field.

The Raiders opened the scoring in the first as Jamie Perkins, Louie Haney and Jherica Williams started the frame with singles to load the bases and Kristen Bradshaw walked to force in a run. Rambler starter Amy Solava, though, kept the damage at one by getting Justine Shilt and Bridget Henry to hit into force plays at the plate and Michelle Logan to line out to first.

Loyola answered right back in the second as Haley Ambrosch singled to center with two out, advanced to second as her hit got by Logan for an error and scored on Kaycee Tharp's single to left.

Wright State regained the lead in the fifth as Briauna Birl led off with a hit up the middle and came in to score two outs later as Williams doubled to left center.

But, just they did in the second, the Ramblers had a quick answer in the sixth as Solava doubled to left center and pinch-runner Katie Duffy scored on an error. Loyola then tallied the winning run in the seventh as Bridget Lally reached on catcher's interference and scored on a Kat Krause double to center.

WSU threatened in the seventh as the Raiders loaded the bases on a Perkins double to left and back-to-back walks from Williams and Kristen Bradshaw, but pinch-hitter Allison Cox flew out to deep center to end the game.

Solava (11-8) picked up her second win of the weekend while Sharon Palma (11-9) was the tough-luck loser as none of the three Rambler runs were earned.

Perkins and Williams each had two hits for the Raiders while Krause had three hits for the Ramblers.

Wright State, now 22-22 overall and 9-6 in the Horizon League, takes on crosstown rival Dayton on the road Tuesday for a doubleheader starting at 3:00.
