The Wright State women's soccer team dropped a 1-0 decision at Milwaukee on Sunday afternoon at Engelmann Field. The Green and Gold couldn't keep the league-leading Panthers off the board all game as UWM scored the match winner in the 77th minute.
The two teams were scoreless at the half, but Milwaukee (9-5-3, 7-0 Horizon) would connect after a corner kick was awarded in the 77th minute of the contest. Kate Megna sent a crossing pass into the box and Sarah Hagen headed it past a diving Meghan Hackerson to the far post.
Hackerson made 11 saves in the match, the second highest total in her career, and Morgan Butler took two of the Raiders five shots in the match.
Wright State (9-6-2, 4-2 Horizon) hits the road again next week, traveling to Youngstown State on Friday, October 23, for a 4:00 match before closing out the season with a Sunday, October 25 tilt at Detroit.
