
Volleyball Drops Second Straight Five-Set Heartbreaker

The Wright State volleyball team dropped a second straight five-set match Friday night at the C.J. McLin Gymnasium, falling to Loyola in Horizon League action 13-25, 25-23, 32-30, 21-25, 15-10.
The Raiders were led by junior Lexi Leonhard posted a double-double of 19 kills and 18 digs while senior Becca Awaa also recorded a double-double of 13 kills and 17 digs. Senior Michelle Hammond ended with 41 assists.
Wright State and Loyola bounced back and forth with the first set being the only dominated by one of the teams as WSU won 25-13. WSU is now 8-9, 0-4 while Loyola jumps to 9-8, 2-2. The Raiders head back into Horizon League action Saturday, hosting UIC at 4 pm.
