Volleyball Rolls Over Oakland

The Wright State volleyball team continued on their early-season roll Saturday night by defeating host Oakland at the Golden Grizzly Invitational, winning 25-17, 25-22 and 25-19.
Junior Becca Awaa and junior Jessica Woods and six from Lexi Leonhard. Senior Tina Paunicka registered 25 assists while freshman Stefanie Shiramizu's defense garnered 16 digs. Woods also had 11 digs.
During the match, Oakland held only small leads in each of the sets until the Raiders took control each time to hand the Grizzlies their first loss of the season. Each team now holds a 3-1 mark.
The Raiders will continue play in the Golden Grizzly Invitational Sunday with matches against Canisius at 10 am and North Texas at 3 pm.
