
Women's Soccer Drops 2-1 Decision to Dayton

Both teams scored once in the early going and it stayed that way until Dayton tallied a goal with just over 11 minutes to play as the Flyers defeated Wright State 2-1 in women's soccer action Sunday night at Alumni Field.
Dayton (8-2) opened the scoring just 2:22 into the contest as Colleen Williams recorded her eighth goal of the year on an assist by Juliana Libertin. The Raiders, though, answered right back at the 7:07 mark as Amber Kasmer.
It stayed that way until the Flyers scored the game-winner at the 78:22 mark of the second half as Tori Oelschlager notched her second goal of the year, with the assist going to Williams.
UD outshot WSU 21-10, but Raider goalkeeper Brooke McCurdy recorded eight saves.
Wright State (3-5) is back in action on Friday, September 24, as the Raiders begin Horizon League play at Loyola, with the match starting at 6:00 Dayton time.
