
Volleyball Drops Three-Set Decision to Valparaiso

The volleyball team could not overcome a fast start by Valparaiso as the Raiders fell in three sets to the Crusaders Saturday afternoon at WSU's Nutter Center. Valpo won the match 25-4, 25-20, 25-16.
Valparaiso came out swinging in the opening set, hitting .519 on 15 kills and just one error in 27 attempts. The Crusaders then led the entire way in the second set and had the advantage for all of the third set except for a 1-1 tie.
Valparaiso (17-11, 8-5 Horizon) finished with a 44-29 kill advantage and outhit the Raiders .317-.094.
Katherine Godina led the Raiders with eight kills off the bench while Ashley Langjahr had seven. Aimee Schubert had a double-double of 23 kills and 11 digs while Jessica Levy added 15 digs.
Wright State (4-22, 3-10 Horizon) hits the road for a pair next week, taking on Loyola on Friday, November 4, at 8:00 Eastern followed by Green Bay on Saturday, November 5, at 3:00 Dayton time.
