Men's Soccer Releases 2011 Schedule

A tournament at Kentucky along with seven home matches highlights the 2011 Wright State men's soccer schedule, which was released Wednesday.
The Raiders, under third-year head coach Bryan Davis, open the exhibition portion of their schedule on Wednesday, August 17, at Ohio State, which advanced to the third round of the NCAA Tournament last season. Following a home exhibition against Cincinnati State on August 20, WSU opens the regular season on Friday, August 26 by hosting Marshall.
Wright State starts September by competing at the UK Tournament in Lexington. The Raiders take on host Kentucky on Friday, September 2, followed by Evansville on Sunday, September 4. The following weekend, WSU heads to Milwaukee for a pair of contests, facing Northeastern on Friday, September 9, and Marquette on Sunday, September 11.
The remainder of the schedule features eight Horizon League matches along with matchups against Western Michigan (September 16), Xavier (October 1), Virginia Tech (October 18) and Bowling Green (November 1). Overall, including the exhibition games, Wright State will face three teams that competed in the NCAA Tournament last season (Ohio State, Butler, Xavier).
