Golf Finishes Eighth at Dayton Invitational

Behind a 66 from Cody Fixari, the Wright State golf team combined to shoot a final round of 292, the best of any team in the field, and finished eighth as the Dayton Invitational concluded Tuesday at the NCR Country Club in Kettering.
Along with Fixari's 66, Rick Denny and Tyler McHugh each carded a 73 while Paul VanDeventer shot an 80.
Fixari's 66 is the best round by a WSU golfer since Charlie Doll shot a school-record 62 in the final round of the Marshall Invitational on September 14, 2010.
