Hollenbeck wins Memphis Intercollegiate; Raiders second as a group

CORDOVA, TN – Timmy Hollenbeck notched two back nine birdies, including one on the 18th hole, to capture the individual title at the Memphis Intercollegiate, while the Wright State golf team finished second as a group.

Hollenbeck, who opened the final round two shots back of the individual leader, finished with 16 pars and just the two late birdies on the way to his final round two-under 70, two shots better than second-place Yixiang Wang.

CJ Scohy, who also opened Tuesday in a tie for second, struggled through a 13-over final round 85 to finish 38th overall at 10-over for the tournament, while Ian Asch and Adam Horn each were tied for 42nd at 12-over. Asch carded a two-over final round 74 while Horn was at three-over with a 75 as the pair combined for six birdies on Tuesday. Shane Ochs turned in his best round of the tournament with an even par final round 72 to finish 53rd at 17-over overall.

The Raiders now return home for one final regular season tournament ahead of the Horizon League Championship in late April, as they host the Wright State Invitational presented by Joes Landscaping on April 12 and 13 at Heatherwoode Golf Club.
