
Men's Soccer Falls at Loyola

The Wright State men's soccer team closed out its season Saturday night with a 4-3 loss at Loyola.
The Ramblers jumped out to a 3-0 lead, scoring all three goals in a seven-minute span in the first half, before Brett Elder cut the deficit to 3-1 at the half with his ninth goal of the season. Seth Petrey was credited with the assist.
Loyola added another goal just 2:11 into the second half and it stayed that way until Tim Sampson scored his first goal of the year at the 71:47. WSU then closed to within one at 4-3 on Joakim Carlsson first goal of the season with 59 seconds left, but could get no closer. Petrey provided the assist on the Carlsson goal, giving him three on the year.
The Raiders led 16-10 on shots, including 10-4 in the second half.
Wright State finishes with a final record of 4-13-1 overall, 2-4-1 in the Horizon League.
