The softball team battled #11 Michigan close throughout, but the Wolverines scored four unearned runs in the fifth for a 4-0 decision Sunday at the FAU Kick-Off Classic in Boca Raton, Florida.
Krystian DeWitt (1-4) was the tough-luck loser, scattering seven hits and a walk while striking out four. Offensively, Jess Gorman led the Raiders with two hits.
Wright State (4-5) competes next weekend at the Charleston Southern Tournament, taking on UMBC, Charleston Southern and Hampton.
