
Volleyball Falls at Oakland

The Wright State volleyball team dropped a three-set Horizon League decision at Oakland Friday, falling to the Golden Grizzlies 25-12, 25-13, 25-19.
Oakland led throughout the opening set and broke away from a 5-5 tie with four straight points in the second set. The Raiders scored three consecutive points to tie the third set at 13, only to see the Golden Grizzlies answer with seven in a row to take the lead for good.
Oakland finished with a 45-20 kill advantage in outhitting WSU .310-.033.
Ashley Langjahr led the Raiders with five kills while Maddie Lohmeier had 16 assists and Jessie Thornton 14 digs.
Wright State (3-14, 0-3 Horizon), after playing its last 10 matches away from home, will host seven of the final 11 matches of the regular season, starting on Friday, October 10, against UIC starting at 7:00.
