The Wright State track team is third after the opening day of the Horizon League Championships Friday at Farmers National Bank Field in Youngstown.
Sarah-Ann Blount recorded three first-place finishes during the heptathlon competition, winning the 200 meter dash, the 100 meter hurdles and the shot put, while Kylie Kopp tied for first in the high jump. On the men's side, Dan Shafer won the 10000 meter run.
Natassia Roberts set a school record in the discus throw (42.94m) as she placed second.
The championships continue until Sunday.
