
Men's Soccer Adds Local Product to 2014 Roster

The Wright State men's soccer program has announced the addition of Shayne Gossel to the 2014 roster.
Gossell (Beavercreek, OH/Beavercreek), a 6-1 defender, was the Greater Western Ohio Conference Player of the Year and was selected to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America All-Midwest Team in 2013 as the Beavers finished 16-2-3.
A two-time All-Ohio honoree, Gossell was also named First Team All-GWOC twice as well as a two-time Division I South First Team and all-district selection by the Miami Valley Scholastic Soccer Coaches Association.
Gossell joins the other newcomers to the 2014 WSU roster:
Peguy Ngatcha (Manchester, NH/Kimball Union Academy/NE Revolution USSDA), a 6-2 forward
AJ Paterson (Key Largo, FL/Coral Shores), a 6-2 midfielder
Jalim Bayo (Columbus, OH/Alternative), a 5-9 forward
Blake Damato (Las Vegas, NV/Shadow Ridge), a 5-9 midfielder
Devin Collins (Olentangy, OH/Liberty), a 5-9 defender
Austin Polster (Las Vegas, NV/Palo Verde), a 6-0 defender
Anthony Flowers (New Albany, OH/New Albany), a 6-0 goalkeeper
Wright State opens the exhibition portion of its schedule on Tuesday, August 19, at Virginia Tech. Following another road exhibition at Marquette on Sunday, August 24, the Raiders open the regular season on Friday, August 29, by hosting the Kentucky Wildcats at Alumni Field starting at 7:30.
