Two goals in the opening 15:19 of the contest proved to be the difference as the Wright State men's soccer team dropped a 2-0 decision to Oakland in the regular season finale for both teams Friday night at Alumni Field.
The Golden Grizzlies recorded their first goal at the 9:25 mark of the first half and then added another goal at the 15:19 to account for all of the scoring.
WSU outshot Oakland 16-12, including 11-5 in the second half, and led 8-1 in corner kicks, but could not convert.
Wright State (10-7-1, 4-4-1 Horizon) will be the #6 seed for next week's Horizon League Tournament. The Raiders will travel to #3 seed Northern Kentucky for a first round matchup on Monday, November 9, at 7:00.
