A J.J. Panoske three with three seconds left gave Milwaukee a 61-58 win over the Wright State men's basketball team Thursday night at WSU's Nutter Center.
The Raiders went up 16-12 on baskets by Roderick Davis and Grant Benzinger and still held a four-point advantage until the Panthers went on a 12-2 run to go up 26-20 with 5:49 remaining in the first half. WSU, though, closed out the period by scoring the final eight points, the final four coming from Joe Thomasson, to take a 28-26 halftime edge.
Wright State shot 48 percent overall in the opening 20 minutes, two of five from three-point range, but did not attempt a free throw compared to 36 percent shooting for Milwaukee, who was also six of eight at the stripe.

Milwaukee, though, had the final possession and Panoske hit the game-winning three from the left wing.
Wright State shot 42 percent overall, but was just three of 11 from behind the arc, and made 11 of 15 foul shots while the Panthers shot 38 percent, hit seven of 19 threes, and were 20 of 34 at the stripe.
Karena led WSU with 15 points while Benzinger added 11.
