Softball Drops Pair at #8 Georgia

The Wright State softball team dropped a pair of games at #8 Georgia Wednesday, falling to the Bulldogs 9-0 in the opener and 8-1 in the nightcap.
After a scoreless first in the opening game, Georgia scored twice in the second, four times in the third and three in the fourth.
The Bulldogs then jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the second game before the Raiders tallied a run in the top of the fourth. Libby Pfeffer led off with a double to left and after a fly ball from Kortney Tackett advanced her to third, Pfeffer scored on a Reagan Stofcheck single to right.
Georgia, though, answered with three in the bottom of the fourth and one in the sixth to round out the scoring.
Wright State (0-11) will compete this weekend at the Charleston Southern Tournament, taking on Jacksonville State (9:00) and Charleston Southern (1:00) on Friday and Iona (9:00) and Jacksonville State (11:00) on Saturday.
