
Men's Soccer Tough in 2-1 Loss at #17 Kentucky

The Wright State men's soccer team took a 1-0 lead into the second half and played a tough final 45 minutes before losing 2-1 at #17 Kentucky Friday night.
The Raiders scored first at the 18:36 mark of the first half on sophomore AJ Paterson's first goal of the season and second career goal as fellow sophomore Austin Polster collected his first assist of 2015.
At 56:15 of the second half, the Wildcats tied the game on a header from Noah Hutchins and took the lead when Andrew McKelvey found the back of the goal.
Wright State, which received votes in the most recent College Soccer News poll, had eight shots with one on goal while Kentucky posted 13 shots with four on goal. UK is now 2-0 as the Wildcats defeated Horizon League member Valparaiso 2-1 last week.
The Raiders are now 2-1 and will host Cincinnati Monday at 6 pm at Alumni Field.
