@WSU_WSoccer Looks to Keep Pace in Horizon League Against IUPUI Saturday

The well-rested Wright State women's soccer team will return to action this Saturday when the Jaguars of IUPUI head to Alumni Field for a Horizon League showdown.
Raider Round-Up
Wright State (4-6-2, 3-1-1 Horizon League – Fourth Place) will enter Saturday's match after having six days off for the second straight week. Things went well for the Raiders last week when they had the extra time to prepare, as they scored early and often to top the UIC Flames last Saturday by a score of 3-1. Reagan Clark netted her first collegiate goal in the win, while Jordyne Helinski and Aaliyah Patten added to their season tallies. The Raiders are 4-1-1 in their last six matches, landing them just three points out of a tie for second place in the Horizon League with 10 conference points on the season. Wright State's only loss in its previous six matches was to Horizon League front-runner Milwaukee on September 29 by a score of 3-2. The Panthers are undefeated in Horizon League play and have only lost one regular season contest this season. The Raiders have put themselves in prime position to make the Horizon League tournament with only four conference contests remaining, three of which against teams below them in the current standings.
Scouting IUPUI
The Panthers (5-7-3, 2-2-1 Horizon League - Fifth Place) sit just three points behind Wright State in the Horizon League Standings, with a chance to draw even with a victory Saturday. Every point becomes crucial at this juncture of the season, and the Jags will surely be looking to gain ground on the Raiders when they arrive at Alumni Field on Saturday. IUPUI seems to have found its stride at the right time of the season just as Wright State has, with the Jags posting a 3-1-1 record in their last five contests. Elizabeth Bueckers (four goals, two assists) and Miranda Ricks (two goals, seven assists) lead the charge offensively for the Jags, while goalkeeper Sophia Lipka has started all 15 matches, posting a .807 save percentage.
Coverage
Saturday's 7:00 pm match is your second-to-last time to catch the Raiders at Alumni Field during the regular season, so Wright State fans are encouraged to pack the stands Saturday night. Those who cannot make it to the game can stream it live on ESPN+.
