Taylor Gibson led the Raiders with nine kills to hit .318 while Alannah Lemming and Celia Powers each finished with eight kills. Lemming also picked up six blocks and Jenna Story ended with 20 digs. Lainey Stephenson collected 32 assists.
First Set
The Raiders took control with a 10-6 lead early but the Phoenix roared back to take a 21-14 advantage. WSU stayed close but fell 25-20. Powers and Natalie Santana each had three kills in the set as Wright State posted 12 overall. WSU had 21 digs, including six each from Hannah Colvin, Powers and Story. Stephenson pitched in nine assists.
Second Set
After Wright State took a 3-0 lead, the tams went back and forth as WSU had leads of 11-8 and 14-11 when GB came back to win 25-23. Gibson had five kills to hit .417 while Stephenson collected a kill, eight assists and five digs. Lemming grabbed four blocks.
Third Set
WSU took control early with leads of 8-5, 11-6 and 15-9 as the Phoenix started to chip away, tying the score at 23 and taking the set 28-26. Ladd hit five kills while Lemming also hit .500 but with four kills and two blocks. Stephenson posted 15 assists.
Next Up
The Raiders will play at IUPUI next Friday night before hosting Northern Kentucky Sunday at 4 pm.
