
@WSU_TF_XC Heads to NCAA Regionals

The women's and men's cross country teams will be heading to Terra Haute, IN to compete on Friday in the NCAA Great Lakes Regionals. The race, hosted by Indiana State, will have the women running a 6k distance and the men running a 10k distance. Women are scheduled to run at 11:15 a.m. ET and men are scheduled to run at 12:15 p.m. ET.

Last year in Terra Haute, the women placed 25th and the men placed 22nd. The Raiders will be returning both of their top-runners from last year's event. Senior Hailey Brumfield from Tipp City, OH, placed 105th with a time of 22:34.8. Junior Nathan Dunn from Covington, OH, placed 71st with a time of 32:29.6.

The women's 6K championship race features 34 teams and 305 individual competitors. There are five nationally ranked teams which includes No. 7 Michigan, No. 10 Michigan State, No. 11 Wisconsin, No. 14 Indiana, and No. 18 Notre Dame.

The men's 10K Regional Championship Race features 30 teams and 267 individual competitors. There are five nationally ranked teams including No. 3 Wisconsin, No. 10 Notre Dame, No. 15 Purdue, No. 23 Indiana and No. 27 Michigan.

Parking in a gravel lot will be available outside of the venue. The lot is located parallel to Tabertown Road and will have an access point at the main gate for fans.

I-70 West to Hwy 46 from Indianapolis turn right onto Hwy 46 Exit (Exit 11) head North to (Poplar/Hwy 42) turn right pass the Terra Haute International Airport take the roundabout eastwardly turn right onto Tabortown Road turn right again into the complex Cross Country course. Â If you stayed straight on roundabout there is a sign a couple miles up the road directing you into the complex from this direction.
