The Wright State women's soccer team will begin the Horizon League portion of its schedule this Friday when it travels to face Oakland for a 7:00 pm kick-off.
Last Time Out
The Raiders come into conference play after earning their first non-conference win last Friday, a 2-1 overtime triumph at St. Bonaventure in New York. Destiny Johnson's first goal of the season tied the match at one near the end of the first half, and Sydni Callahan's overtime tally gave the Raiders their first victory of the season. Sunday's scheduled match against the Ohio Bobcats was cancelled due to inclement weather.

Wright State is led offensively by the dynamic duo of senior Aaliyah Patten and sophomore Erin Graefen. Graefen has tallied a goal and two assists on the young season, while Patten leads all shooters with 22 total shots, 8 shots and goal, and also has a goal to her name. Junior Kat Schmidt bolsters the midfield and leads all outfield players in minutes played with 624. Junior keeper Maddie Jewell has made 29 saves and owns a .617 save percentage in seven starts.

The Golden Grizzlies have struggled to put the ball in the net during non-conference play, netting just one goal in their first seven matches. Senior Ali Amante leads all shooters with seven on the season, and junior goalkeeper Jaimie Leas has made 30 saves for a .682 save percentage.
