The Wright State women's soccer team will return to action Wednesday, when they put their unbeaten Horizon League record on the line against Northern Kentucky on Wednesday and Milwaukee on Saturday.
Raider Round-Up
The Raiders (3-5-1, 2-0 Horizon) will enter Wednesday's match on a three-match winning streak, after opening their two match homestand with a 2-1 overtime victory Saturday night over Green Bay. Head coach Patrick Ferguson's team was prepared for Horizon League play through a rigorous non-conference schedule, where they saw some of the best teams in the region and the country, and they are seeing the results of that preparation in the form of conference success. Two of the last three matches for Wright State have been decided in overtime, and the team attributes their success in those matches to the rigors they faced in the non-conference portion of the schedule.
Scouting Northern Kentucky
NKU (6-3, 2-0 Horizon) has won its past two matches and four of its last five. The Norse sport a 4-0 record at home and have a 2-3 record on the road. All three losses have come to quality opponents, Murray State, Cincinnati, and then-No. 22 Butler. NKU is averaging 1.56 goals per match and allows 0.89 goals per contest. Emily Soltes leads the team and is tied for first in the Horizon League with four goals. She has 10 points on the season, which is the top mark for NKU and ranks third in the Horizon League. Samantha Duwel has two goals and five assists on the year for nine points. Her five assists are tied for third in the Horizon League. Emily Lohmann has four shutouts on the season, which is first in the Horizon League and tied for 45th nationally.
Scouting Milwaukee
The Panthers enter the week with an 8-1 record overall, and a 2-0 mark in the Horizon League, tying the Raiders and Norse for the top spot in conference. After their school record streak of 27 matches unbeaten came to an end last Monday against Marquette, Milwaukee returned to Horizon League play with a statement 4-1 victory over UIC. The Panthers will face off against Green Bay on Wednesday before hosting the Raiders at Engelmann Stadium on Saturday.
Series
The Raiders are looking for their first win as a program against the Norse on Wednesday, with the Norse taking the first four meetings between the two programs. In 40 career matches against Milwaukee, the Panthers hold a 25-9-6 advantage over Wright State.

Wednesday's match against Northern Kentucky is scheduled to start at 7:00 pm at Alumni Field and will also be carried on ESPN+. Saturday's road match against Milwaukee is scheduled to kick-off at 2:00 pm and will show on ESPN+
