The Wright State men's soccer team saw Ids Hannema tally a pair of goals just before halftime to give the Raiders the lead on Saturday night, but host UIC scored with moments left in regulation and followed with a golden goal in overtime to hand the Raiders a 3-2 Horizon League loss on the road.
With the loss, Wright State drops to 5-5-1 overall and 1-3-0 in Horizon League action, while UIC improves to 9-3-0 overall and 3-1-0 in league play.

Trailing after an early seventh minute goal from UIC's Bar Hazut, Hannema connected on back-to-back goals spanning 3:10 to tie the game and then give the Raiders the lead moments before the intermission. Deri Corfe set Hannema up on the game-tying strike in the 42nd minute before Zion Beaton assisted on his second goal in the 45th minute as Wright State carried the advantage into the locker room.
Â
The game remained a 2-1 Raider advantage until the waning moments, when the Flames' Andres Moreno tied the game at 2-all with 23 seconds remaining to send the match into extra time. Eight minutes into overtime, Bukola Abdulwahab found the back of the net to give the hosts the comeback win.
