The Wright State men's tennis team competed at the Louisville Invitational over the weekend, turning in solid results in both singles and doubles action.

Param Pun and Will Morton each posted three wins in singles action for the Raiders. Pun defeated opponents from Youngstown State, Lipscomb and Eastern Illinois on the way to advancing to the championship, where he fell to 6-2, 7-5 to Dimitri Badra from East Tennessee State. Morton dropped his first match against an opponent from Bellarmine before rolling off wins over players from Eastern Illinois and Belmont to advance to the consolation final, where he defeated Ball State's Khamasi Muhiga.

Alessandro Tabares earned two wins over the weekend against opponents from Ball State and East Tennessee State before being knocked out in the semifinals of his bracket, while
Javier Alvarez de la Villa also tallied a win against an opponent from Belmont in his own bracket.

In doubles action, the Raider team of Alvarez de la Villa and Brandon tallied wins over opponents from Toledo and Xavier to advance to the championship of their draw before falling to Eastern Illinois in the championship match. The duo of
Carlos Estrada Sanchez and
Theo Bourghelle won in the consolation final of their bracket with wins over opponents from Bellarmine and Chicago State.

Wright State is back in action at the ITA Regional, hosted by Vanderbilt, from October 24-29 and then closes its fall schedule at the Cleveland State Viking Invite at the beginning of November.
