Nolan, Dunn set Wright State program standards Friday

A pair of Wright State cross country runners set new Raider program standards on Friday afternoon at the Bradley Classic as the Raider women turned in an eighth-place finish and the men tallied an 11th place finish in their last tune-ups before the Horizon League Championship.

Senior Nathan Dunn set the new Wright State standard in the men's 8K with his time of 24:20, finishing fourth overall, while fellow senior Shelby Nolan set a new standard in the women's 6K with a mark of 21:16 on the way to a fourth-place finish.

Both Raider teams competed against large fields on Friday in Illinois, with 23 women's teams and 20 men's programs on the course.

Nolan's 21:16.2 time gave her a fifth-place finish to lead the Raider women, while Abigail Halsey (35th, 22:06.1), Molley Kearns (51st, 22:24.0), Victoria Angelopoulos (74th, 22:45.7), Lauren Shuman (97th, 23:09.3), Alicia Neumeier (110th, 23:24.5) and Megan King (119th, 23:38.1) registered points towards Wright State's team total. Anna Dunn (24:33.0) and Tiffany Ward (24:46.9) also competed.

Dunn paced the Raider men with his time of 24:20.4 to finish inside the top five, while Max Pettit (39th, 25:18.4), Jacob Poling (63rd, 25:43.3), Benjamin Bowers (85th, 26:01.0), Wyatt Stahl (100th, 26:28.9), Michael Board (108th, 26:40.5), Bryce Hohman (126th, 27:37.6) also registered points towards Wright State's team total. Aaron Fullenkamp (28:05.5) and Ethan Emmert (30:10.3) also competed.

Wright State now prepare for the Horizon League Championships on November 2, which will be run at the Valhalla Cross Country Course at Northern Kentucky.
