Wright State falls to UCF on Saturday

The Wright State women's basketball team fell to the UCF Knights 53-69, Saturday afternoon in the final day of the UCF Holiday Tournament.
With the loss, Wright State falls to 5-6 overall while UCF improves to 7-4 overall. The Raiders will return home to prepare for the start of Horizon League play before heading to Milwaukee on December 28 for a 3:00p.m. tipoff.
The Knights were first on the board, connecting on two free throws shortly after the tip. UCF would remain in control for the contest as the Raiders pulled within three points multiple times but ultimately that wasn't enough.
Michal Miller led the Raiders for the second consecutive contest, with 20 points. Miller finished the night going 5-for-6 from the free throw line, 6-for-18 from the field and 3-for-5 from beyond the arc. Alexis Stover added eight points, going 3-for-5 from the field and 2-for-4 from beyond the arc.
Wright State shot 32.7 percent for the game, while UCF finished the night shooting 43.1 percent. Wright State hit six three-pointers and went 13-for-19 from the free throw stripe while the Knights went to the line 24 times, finishing the night missing only four (20-for-24, 83.3 percent).
The Raiders won the battle on the boards, out rebounding the Knights 37-31 overall while pulling down more offensive rebounds (16-10). Both Wright State and UCF tied on the defensive glass with 21 rebounds, respectively.
