On Friday morning, the Wright State women's tennis team broke their short skid against the Saint Louis Billikens at home by a score of 5-2.Â
The Raiders secured the doubles point early and then won their first three singles matches to lead the Billikens by 4-0 early in the matchup.Â
In doubles competition, Madison Riley and Haily Morgan opened up play for the Raiders with their 6-1 domination. Andreea Craciun and Jillian Milano secured the team double point with a 6-2 win and Grace Whitney and Luisa Pelayo won to give the Raiders a perfect record against the Billikens on the doubles courts.Â
In singles competition, Luisa Pelay won early to give the Raiders a 2-0 lead and Jillian Milano added the next point with a 6-3, 6-2 win. Madison Riley won in straight sets to give the Raiders a 4-0 lead in the team score, while Haily Morgan won 6-4, 7-6(4) to secure the Raiders' victory.Â
