Wright State defeats Niagara Sunday afternoon

The Wright State women's tennis team recorded its second victory of the 2020 season over Niagara 7-0 at the South Towns Tennis Center Sunday morning in Orchard Park, New York.
In singles action, it was a straight sweep for the Raiders led by Andreea Craciun deafeating Andreea Petue 6-2, 6-2. Anna Jones was pushed to three sets before defeating Niagara's Madigan Humiston 6-3, 2-6, 1-0 (10-4). Anna Marie Reynolds recorded the last singles victory for Wright State by way of a default as Niagara had no opponent.
Doubles play would be much like singles action for Wright State, with the team of Lusia Pelayo and Grace Whitney defeating Niagara's Erika Gonzalez and Megan Gamble 6-1. Andreea Craciun and Jillian Milano defeated Andreea Peteu and Ali Hutchinson 6-0.
The Raiders are back in action for three consecutive contests at home starting on March 14 as Wright State welcome St. Bonaventure.
