@WSU_SB Faces Miami

The Raider softball team will look to regain momentum with a doubleheader against the Miami Redhawks on Tuesday after falling to the Detroit Mercy Titans in a series sweep last weekend.

Madison Hartman led the Raiders on offense last weekend, batting an impressive .556 in the three games while adding a pair of doubles and RBI. Rebekah Lenos contributed five hits on the weekend and leads Wright State with an overall batting average of .348.

Like Wright State, Miami (12-14) enters after completing their opening conference series. The Redhawks dropped two of three to Central Michigan but outhit the Chippewas in each matchup and lost twice in extra innings. Kara Leckinger guided the Redhawks' offensive efforts against CMU, going 5 for 9 with three doubles and three RBI. Courtney Vierstra has put up solid numbers in the circle and has recorded over 100 strikeouts in 17 appearances. Miami leads the all-time series against Wright State 16-47-1 and swept the Raiders 2-5 and 5-6 in a doubleheader last season.
