Wright State will travel to Green Bay this weekend for their first road Horizon League series of the season. The team opened league play last weekend but couldn't top the Detroit Mercy Titans, who swept the Raiders at home. After falling to Miami in a pair of games on Tuesday, Wright State will look to regain momentum against the Green Bay Phoenix. The Phoenix enter their conference opener with a 5-12 record and also look to rebound after getting swept by the Kansas Jayhawks.Â
Bailey Schultz has led the Phoenix on offense and has started in all 17 games. Schultz has connected for 21 hits and a team-best .375 average. In the circle, Kayla Schwebke has led the way for Green Bay, recording 55 innings with a 4-3 record and 3.82 ERA.
The Friday's games will take place at 100 Grant St., De Pere, WI. The two teams will face off in a doubleheader on Friday beginning at Noon and finish the series Saturday at 1:00 PM. The Raiders lead the all-time series 46-28 and claimed two out of three contests against Green Bay last season.
