The Wright State women's tennis team advanced to 13-12 and 4-2 in the Horizon League with their 4-3 victory against the Youngstown State Penguins on Saturday afternoon.
The Raiders started off the day by taking the doubles point from the Penguins. After falling in the first match, Wright State rallied in the next two to capture the doubles point. Jillian Milano and Grace Whitney paired up for the first time this spring to win 7-6 on Court Two against Lucia Zagar and Elvira Esteo. Anna Jones and Andreea Craciun secured the point for the Raiders with a 7-6 win on Court Three.
In the singles competition, the Penguins grabbed the lead from the Raiders after taking the first two matches to make the teams scores 2-1 in favor of Youngstown State. Grace Whitney tied the match up with a 7-5, 6-4 win against Elvira Esteo. Haily Morgan took the lead back for the Raiders with a 6-4 and 7-6 win on Court Two. Wright State's match-clinching point came from Jilliam Milano after the Penguins were able to tie the match at 3-3 following a win at the top of the order. Milano won 6-3, 4-6, and 6-0 against Cassandra Moraleja.

The Raiders have two matches at home on Sunday beginning with Cleveland State at 1:00 PM and then returning to the court for their Senior Day against Wittenberg at 4:00 PM.
