@WSU_MTennis Wins On Senior Day

The Wright State men's tennis team moved to 8-18 on the season and snapped a twelve-match skid with their 7-0 sweep against Wittenberg on Sunday afternoon. Prior to the match, Donovan Cellupica-Towers and Fernando Nardelli were honored as part of Senior Day.

Donovan Cellupica-Towers has tallied 11 singles wins and 14 doubles win during his playing career for the Raiders. Fernando Nardelli has recorded 19 singles and 13 doubles wins over his Wright State career.

The Raiders took the doubles point from the Tigers after sweeping all matches. Param Pun and Lorenzo Maccarini recorded the first win with a 6-3 score. Fernando Nardelli and Donovan Cellupica-Towers secured the team point for the Raiders with a 6-2 win. On Court Three, Carlos Sanchez and Leighton Brandon won 6-1 for the doubles team sweep.

In singles competition, the Raiders received wins on all courts in straight sets. Param Pun, Fernando Nardelli, Lorenzo Maccarini, Javier Alvarez de la Villa, Leighton Brandon, and Carlos Sanchez each recorded a win for the Raiders against the Tigers.
