@WSU_TF_XC Travels to Cincinnati

The Wright State track and field team will take the short trek to the University of Cincinnati for the Cincinnati Oliver Nikoloff Invitational on Saturday. The field features several local programs including Miami, Dayton, Bowling Green, and Cedarville, where the Raiders competed last Saturday.

Coach Rick Williamson says that the team is excited about the meet on Saturday, "The competition and the weather are both looking fantastic. We are very fortunate that we only have to travel an hour to find such a high level track and field meet." Williamson adds, "We are off to terrific start to the season and Saturday will be another opportunity to continue to build that momentum."

The terrific start has included several first-place finishes in the early part of the outdoor season. Most recently, Iman Salhieh set a meet record at Cedarville on Saturday in the 100 Meter Dash which has stood for nearly a decade. Maria Heckman also added a top finish in the pole vault finishing with a Horizon League-best mark of 3.65m.
