Shelby Nolan set a new school record at the 5k distance

The Wright State men's and women's cross country teams opened their season on Saturday at the Queen City Invitational hosted by Northern Kentucky University. The men's team finished eighth overall, and the women's team sixth.
Seniors Nathan Dunn and Shelby Nolan turned in top 10 finishes in their races. Dunn finished seventh after clocking a 15:24 on the 5K course. The time was nearly a half-minute faster than his time last year at the Queen City.
Nolan finished second overall and established a new school record at the 5K distance, finishing at 17:43. The previous record of 17:52 was set 18 years ago by Jessica Kuhr.
